At age 24, I was diagnosed with a one-in-a-million synovial sarcoma cancer. That healing journey was one of the most powerful awakenings of my life & the conduit for my consultancy. I now help others awaken to their why — their heartbeat, their purpose. KL was created to elevate these stories & keep these conscious conversations alive.

ABOUT KARA LADD

Kara Ladd is the Founder of KL Consulting, a conscious creative marketing consultancy for the next generation of modern, mindful brands. She connects with others often through her mission-driven, catalystic writing, speaking, hosting, & content partnerships that focus around soul-driven self growth that helps us embody our best selves. 

Ladd began her career working in the fashion closets of Cosmopolitan and Italian Vogue. She eventually landed at a boutique sustainable fashion consultancy where she spearheaded the creative and strategic marketing for high-profile clients such as Amazon, LVMH, Mulberry, The Real Real, CFDA in addition to building out the digital infrastructure and growth strategy internally. 

Later, Ladd pivoted back into editorial, working as Hearst Digital Media’s E-Commerce and Partnerships Editor, where she created optimized digital content for all 28 Hearst sites. Her features have reached 35 million page views worldwide. She left Hearst Digital Media in 2018 to start her consulting company.

When not working or traveling the globe, you can typically find her at home in Brooklyn, balancing self care & nourishing creative expression while sipping coffee with her partner & plants.
